Our Heritage
In 1979, Alex Richardson, Earl Richardson Sr., Emmitt Richardson Sr., and Samuel Richardson incorporated Richardson Funeral Home of Jefferson Inc. in River Ridge, LA. as an independent Louisiana corporation. Emmitt was summoned from California public schools to serve as its founding manager. Under the tutelage of Reverend Thomas Alexander Richardson, their father and original founding owner along with their mother a legacy of an extraordinary blend of professionalism and humanitarianism began. Our contract with our clients are laden with honesty, respect, and integrity. We realize that from our clients perspective: “Love is forever.” We do not breach that sacred trust. The fragrance of that legacy has impacted the lives of thousands of families throughout southern Louisiana parishes and beyond.

Our embalmers are among the elite in the southeast region of the United States of America. Our business acumen enables us to comprehend the administrative, accounting, personnel management, insurance, Social Security, Veteran’s Affairs, State and Federal statutory laws governing the practice of funeral service.
